Mid month review

Well... The last 2 weeks I skated 2 or 3 times per week plus my lesson, that is an improvement from skating just once and the lesson during the summer.

The only thing that I can report is that my muscles get quite tired, but still not as  tired as when I used to stop skating for weeks to months. It is what it is... I know it will get better.  I have not much to report about the skating, I think I mostly maintain what I have, but I think I understand better some technique points, and I will be able to control my body better and be quicker, as my muscles get stronger

I've also found a once per week yoga class very close to my home. It is a pretty athletic class so that adds to the muscle hurting but also, hopefully to the muscle conditioning.

Monthly skating review: progress and goals adjustment

As I was saying in the in the August monthly goals, the Septet is a transitional month. There is more ice available and so I need to figure out where and when I will skate.

Firstly, for my partnered ice dance lesson I will have the option of Thursday morning (that I passed since I would have had to wake up and go skating, so no time for work that morning), or Tuesday or Thursday at 3pm. I've chosen Thursday so I would have more time to practice at the beginning of the week.

Unfortunately there is no consistent ice time at the close by rink, they don't have ice every day and when they do, it is at different times in the day and it is either have public skate and freeskate ice. I cannot schedule my week around their schedule. I hope it will improve in the future.

There is the Monday, Wednesday and Friday, adult figure skater's only noon ice at my old rink, and the expressway construction is wrapping up and traffic is now manageable, so it looks that I'll do that.

Let's see how this goes!
